These terms cover your use of devbox.studio, run by Forging Destiny Studios, LLC. By using the site you agree to them. If you are under 18, please read them with a parent or guardian.
The service
devbox.studio is a free tool for making and playing small platformer games in your browser. We may change, pause or stop any part of it at any time. Your games are stored in your own browser and, if you sign in, in your account (see the Privacy Policy). Keep your own backups by exporting games you care about.
Accounts
You don’t need an account to use devbox.studio. To create one you must be 13 or older. Use your own email address, keep access to it secure, and don’t share your account or sign in as someone else. You are responsible for what happens in your account. You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.
Your games
You own the games, levels, sprites and sounds you make. We don’t claim any rights to them. If you save games to your account, you let us store and copy them only so we can keep them for you and show them to you on your devices. When you share a game link, you let anyone who has the link play the game and remix it into their own copy.
The templates, built-in characters, artwork and sounds that come with devbox.studio are ours. You can use them inside the games you make and share on devbox.studio.
Be decent
Don’t use devbox.studio to make or share games that:
- break the law or infringe someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
- harass, threaten or target other people, or include hateful or sexual content;
- contain someone’s personal information without their permission.
Don’t try to break, overload or misuse the site or the services it runs on.
No warranty
devbox.studio is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t promise it will always work, be error free, or keep your saved games safe.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Forging Destiny Studios, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost games or data, arising from your use of devbox.studio. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Changes and law
We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page, and continuing to use the site means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA.
